He’s an active member of CREIA, the prestigious home inspection association, Indoor Air Quality Association and the American Council for Accredited Certification(ACAC) which council-certifies him to test for mold. GUS VASQUEZ is a certified home inspector through CREIA (California Real Estate Inspection Association), the foremost inspection and training association. He has personally refurbished homes throughout Southern California and the Central Coast of California. He attended the prestigious Casey and O’Malley inspection school before undergoing a hands-on training with Butch Valko, established home inspector since 2002. Gus served as the 2015-16 president of the California Real Estate Inspection Association for the San Luis Obispo chapter.

GREG HINES took shifts with stepfather Butch Valko's water/fire restoration company as he was growing up, when he wasn't playing sports and surfing. After graduating from Sonoma State University, he opted to climb the ladder in the restaurant business, earning the position of General Manager in a busy SLO steakhouse. This pushed him to pursue a detail-oriented profession and to embrace the entrepreneurial spirit modeled by his parents. After one-on-one mentoring with Butch (a Home Inspector since 2002) and graduating from the Michael Casey & Associates program, Greg became certified with CRIEA to inspect homes. PETER RUIZ spent his childhood and young adulthood working on projects with his father, a carpenter and homebuilder. After three decades of customer service and management experience in restaurants and hotels, Peter worked his way up to the position of Food and Beverage Director at a local resort. As a lifelong puzzle and mystery buff, he is excited to bring those problem-solving skills and innate curiosity to the Cornerstone Inspection team. After graduating from the Michael Casey & Associates program, all three Cornerstone partners mentored him and was certified by CREIA as a home inspector.
